The landscape creates a simply structured and aesthetically pleasing campus atmosphere with the goals of easy circulation, functional outdoor spaces, and distinctly separate identities for the Fire Training Academy, as well as the Sheriff Training Academy. In addition to training areas, the landscape includes a Firescape Demonstration Garden, sustainable measures such as drought tolerant and native plantings, bioswales and rainwater gardens, an orchard break area, and a multi-use meadow area for storm water detention, gathering and graduation ceremonies.
