We have been the landscape architects for Westmont College for well over fifteen years. With Carl Johnson and Randy Jones, we have restored the historic gardens, now ‘Friendship Terrace’, below the original estate house.
In a spot formerly called “the jungle,’ we cleared space for student interaction, adding trails, seating and a white flowering garden. Our guiding aim has been to create outdoor spaces that foster a sense of campus community.
In our continuing work preserving and enhancing Westmont’s grounds, we have been part of a team to create a dynamic new Master Plan featuring ecologically intelligent design and establishing Westmont even more clearly as a garden campus.
